Join CTC and CCCC in partnership with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) for our upcoming blood drive event!
- Date: Thursday, April 17
- Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Location: Bloodmobile at CTC Study Center (1295 Gibbs Avenue)

What to Expect:

Registration & Check-in (10-15 minutes) – You fill out paperwork and answer health screening questions (if not completed earlier).

Health Screening (10-15 minutes) – A technician checks your temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin levels.

Blood Donation (8-10 minutes) – About 1 pint of blood is drawn.

Recovery & Refreshments (10-15 minutes) – You rest and have a snack to prevent lightheadedness before leaving.

Can I Donate Blood?
As a blood donor, you are a vital part of a team of individuals working together to save the lives of hospital patients in our area. Most people qualify as blood donors, even if they are taking medications.
Basic Requirements to Donate Blood
Donating blood is safe and convenient when you are:
- In good health
- 17 years or older (16 with written parental consent)
- At least 110 pounds (female donors aged 16-18 have additional height and weight restrictions)
- Antibiotics (except antibiotics for acne) if taken for infection, accept 1 day after last dose provided donor meets all other criteria.
- Symptom-free for at least 72 hours following a cold or flu
Some medical conditions/medications, recent tattoos, piercings, or travel may impact eligibility. Learn more about common reasons people can’t donate.
Before Donating, It's Important to Prepare:
- Increase intake of high iron foods
- Ensure you have had no cold or flu symptoms for the past 3 days
- Eat a full meal 2-4 hours before donation
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids
- Get a good night's sleep
- Bring a valid ID
