Community Iftar

All are welcome to join us as we gather for a Community Iftar event, enjoying delicious food and our community members! Please RSVP below and bring a potluck item to contribute.

This event is organized by a group of CTC residents and non-residents, Turkish American Society of MN (TASMN).

The Turkish American Society of Minnesota (TASMN), in collaboration with CTC, warmly invites you and your loved ones to join us for a heartwarming iftar (breaking-fast) dinner. It's a special occasion where we come together to share the spirit of unity, solidarity, and community.

Significance of Ramadan and Iftar Dinners

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims worldwide observe a period of fasting from dawn to sunset, spanning from March 10 to April 9 this year. This sacred tradition fosters self-discipline, empathy, and spiritual growth.

Iftar dinners hold a special place in Ramadan customs, serving as informal gatherings where individuals come together to break their fast, share meals, and engage in meaningful conversations. These gatherings epitomize the values of hospitality, generosity, and inclusivity.

All Are Welcome

You do not need to be Muslim or observing Ramadan to attend; all members of the CTC and TASMN communities are welcome. We embrace diversity and encourage individuals from all backgrounds to join us in this celebration of unity and friendship.

Potluck-Style Dinner

We encourage all attendees to contribute to our potluck-style dinner by bringing a dish, salad, fruit, or non-alcoholic beverage. In the spirit of dietary inclusivity, kindly ensure that all items adhere to halal or vegetarian guidelines, or are prepackaged with Kosher symbols.

Kosher food label symbols include:
