1st Annual CTC Backyard Campout
CTC will become an overnight campground on Saturday, June 29 – 30.
Event Schedule:
4:00 PM Pick up Tents and sleeping pads at the Community Center
5:00 Open Eye Theatre Puppet Show on the lawn on the north side of Building 17
6:00 Provide your own picnic supper
7:00 Set up tents and enjoy S’mores
8:00 Gather around the campfire to hear Storyteller Duke Addicks
11:00 Quiet Time Begins
8:00 AM Return Equipment and get a ticket for Breakfast in the Community Center
- Reserve a tent for your family in the CTC Main Office by Noon, Thursday, 6/20/13/. You will receive an event map when you register.
- $10.00/Tent is due when you make your reservation. All are four person tents unless you request a 5-6 person tent.
- Sleeping pads will be provided for each camper. You must provide your own sleeping bag, blankets and pillows.
Have your own tent? Please join us in the peace garden area to camp out. Grab a sleeping bag or bedroll and your pillow.
What is the Center for Outdoor Adventure (COA)? COA is a great resource for the experienced outdoor recreation enthusiast. A resource library is available to help individuals plan their next trip, and a full line of gear is available through their rental program.
The COA provides participants with alternative recreation experiences revolving around the great outdoors.
Each semester, COA offers a full schedule of Trips and Clinics to introduce participants to the fundamentals of outdoor adventure skills and environmental ethics. Activities on the spring calendar include:
• Boundary Waters Canoe Expedition May 19-23 (Sunday, 8 AM - Thursday, 6 PM) Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting (Sunday, May 12, 7 PM)
