Did you know? January is National Soup Month!
To celebrate, we are going to host our Second Soup Swap. What a perfect opportunity to enjoy some warm soup in the cold weather.
When: Saturday, January 28, 2017
Where: CTC Community Center Kitchen
Time: 11:30am- 1pm
Soup sampling will be between 11:30am-12:15pm. Voting will need to be placed before 12:15pm and Winners are announced for each categories, Vegetarian, Spicy, Classic, Unique at 12:30pm.
What to do:
1. Sign up in the office by Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 if you are going to participate. You need to sign up with the following information. Adults and Teens encouraged to submit their soups.
- Soup Name
- Soup category: Vegetarian, Spicy, Classic, Non-Traditional
- Name and Address
- If you are unable to come in, please email the above information soup to community@umnctc.org.
2. Email your recipe to community@umnctc.org by January 26th. * Please make note if your recipe is Vegetarian, Vegan or Gluten Free. We will make copies for everyone to take home.
3. Come to the event on January 28th with you soup HOT in a crock pot or other pot to keep warm during the event. *We will not have enough plug ins, but if your soup is hot, it should remain warm for the entire event (1hr).
4. Bring a small to-go container (1pt or smaller) so you can bring home one sample of your favorite soup. You may also want to bring a small cooler bag to put it in as well.
