Board of Directors Corner
Hello, neighbors!
As you have likely already seen and heard, the USPS has continued to install the cluster mailbox stations throughout the CTC. In an effort to make this transition easier, the Board of Directors would like to share a few logistical details regarding your mail delivery service.
First, the install will be completed by today, Friday, November 4, 2016 (see map). During the week of Monday, November 7, 2016 your new mailbox key will be delivered with additional information from the postal service regarding the transition. However, you will continue to receive mail at your door until the official switch, which is currently set for the week of Monday, November 14, 2016.
Each Cluster Box Unit contains an individual locked mailbox compartment for each apartment unit, an outgoing mail slot, as well as a shared parcel compartment. In the event you have a package delivered through the USPS, the postal carrier will leave a key to the larger parcel compartment in your individual mailbox. You may then leave the key in the package compartment for the postal carrier to retrieve when they return. Packages through FedEx, UPS, and Amazon Prime Now will continue door delivery service.
In the event that the delivery box is full or the parcel is oversize, the mail carrier will attempt to deliver the parcel to your door. If nobody is home to collect the package and it is too large to fit concealed in the door, there will be a notice left with pickup instructions.
Thank you for your patience through this transition.
