Mandatory Resident Parking Permit Exchange

All residents must switch to new parking permits by August 15th. This applies to those with existing parking permits (orange) and new vehicle registrations. Compliance is crucial to avoid ticketing, immobilization, or towing. Please see below for details on how to obtain your new permit.

We are excited to announce the implementation of new resident parking permits! All resident vehicles must have the new purple parking permit by August 15th. Here’s what you need to know and do:

How to Get Your New Resident Parking Permit:

  1. Form and Verification Required:

    • Complete the Resident Vehicle Registration Form*, including providing vehicle verification. This step must be done before the exchange event.
    • On the form, you will need to upload one of the accepted vehicle verification documents to prove that the vehicle is registered under your name.
      • Accepted Documentation:
        1. Vehicle/Car Title
        2. Auto Insurance Card/Contract
        3. Leasing Contract
        4. Vehicle Registration
      • Acceptable Documents Must: The document must list your name as the owner and state the vehicle’s make, model, year, color, and license plate number.
         
  2. Exchange In-Person During Event:

    • Dates:
      • Tuesday, August 13, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
      • Wednesday, August 14, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
      • Thursday, August 15, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Location: Community Center Garage (1250 Fifield Avenue, facing Knapp Avenue/Commonwealth Avenue)
    • Required to Bring:
      • Government-issued photo ID
      • Your outdated (orange) parking permit(s)
      • Note: You will not be able to pick up your new permit without returning your old permit. Additionally, unreturned parking permits are subject to a $100 fee.
         
  3. Alternative Pick-Up Options:

    • If you cannot attend the event, you can send someone to pick up your permit on your behalf. Provide their full name in advance, and they must bring their government-issued photo ID and your outdated (orange) permit.
    • Alternatively, contact the office to set up a different pick-up time before August 15th.
